Writer ~ Imogene Jackson 

Miss Imogene Jackson is a native of Pontotoc County Mississippi.  Born of loving, farm parents before the Great Depression, she completed high school, a Presbyterian Junior College (both in Pontotoc), and received her teaching degree at Lambuth College in Jackson, TN. 

Miss Jackson went on to not only teach English and Literature in Pontotoc for many years but to endear hundreds of students, faculty and parents to herself.  She is remembered as a compassionate and highly effective teacher.  Now retired, she lives in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
